1. Introduction

This Cancellation Policy explains how customers may cancel services purchased from Barq Hosting Technologies.

Our goal is to provide a simple and transparent cancellation process while protecting both our customers and our infrastructure.

This policy should be read together with our:

2. Scope

This policy applies to all services provided by Barq Hosting Technologies, including:

  • Shared Web Hosting
  • Domain Registration
  • Domain Transfer
  • Domain Renewal
  • SSL Certificates
  • Website Migration
  • WordPress Website Development
  • Custom Website Development

  • Digital Marketing Services

3. Customer-Initiated Cancellation

Customers may request cancellation of eligible services at any time through the Client Area or by contacting our Billing Department.

Cancellation requests may be submitted as:

Immediate Cancellation

The service will be terminated as soon as the request is processed.

End of Billing Cycle

The service will remain active until the end of the current paid billing period and will not renew automatically.

Unless specifically requested otherwise, cancellation requests received before the renewal date will normally be processed at the end of the current billing cycle.

4. Company-Initiated Cancellation

Barq Hosting Technologies reserves the right to suspend or terminate any service where necessary to protect our customers, infrastructure, or legal interests.

Services may be cancelled immediately where:

  • Fraud is detected
  • Payment remains overdue
  • Spam activity is identified
  • Malware or phishing content is hosted
  • Illegal activities are discovered
  • Copyright infringement is reported
  • Shared server resources are repeatedly abused
  • False customer information has been provided
  • These Terms & Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy have been violated

Where reasonably practical, customers will be notified before cancellation.

5. Cancellation Procedure

To request cancellation, customers should:

  1. Log in to the Client Area.
  2. Select the relevant service.
  3. Submit a Cancellation Request.
  4. Choose either:
    • Immediate Cancellation, or
    • End of Billing Cycle.
  5. Confirm the cancellation request.

Cancellation requests may also be submitted by emailing billing@barqhosting.com. For security purposes, we may request verification of account ownership before processing the request.

6. Data & Backups

Customers are solely responsible for maintaining backups of their websites, databases, emails, and other data.

Barq Hosting Technologies does not include daily backups with its standard Shared Hosting plans.

Before requesting cancellation, customers should download all required data.

Once a hosting account has been terminated, deleted data may not be recoverable.

7. Domain Names

Cancelling a hosting service does not automatically cancel or transfer a domain name.

Customers remain responsible for:

  • Domain Renewals
  • Domain Transfers
  • Domain Expiration

Failure to renew a domain before its expiration date may result in additional registry fees or permanent loss of the domain name.

8. Refund Eligibility

Cancellation of a service does not automatically entitle a customer to a refund.

Refund eligibility is governed exclusively by our Refund Policy.

Hosting Renewals ❌ No
Domains ❌ No
SSL Certificates ❌ No

  • Unpaid invoices
  • Late payment charges (if applicable)
  • Outstanding service fees incurred before cancellation

Barq Hosting Technologies reserves the right to recover unpaid balances in accordance with applicable law.

10. Reactivation

Where technically possible, suspended services may be reactivated after:

  • Outstanding invoices have been paid.
  • The reason for suspension has been resolved.
  • Account verification has been completed.

Reactivation is subject to service availability and may require additional administrative or restoration fees where applicable.

11. Changes to this Policy
